Where is the E51 - Panorama Trail decided?

On the climb from Feld to Faulhorn, the high point of the course, just past half-way.

The climbing is front-loaded. The first leg goes straight up: 1,009 m to Gr. Scheidegg, in two steep climbs, more than a fifth of the whole race’s work and the biggest share of any leg. It is also the longest stretch between aid stations. At the time-limit pace you reach Gr. Scheidegg at five past ten on Saturday morning, and First, where nearly a third of the work is done, at twenty-five past eleven.

From First the course goes on to Feld, with a steep drop into Feld at the end, and then to the climb that matters. Feld to Faulhorn is 676 m in 5 km, the hardest leg kilometre for kilometre, half as hard again as the average. The climb itself is the biggest of the course and very steep, 630 m at 21 %. At Faulhorn well over half the work is done; at the time-limit pace you leave Feld at five to one and top out at a quarter to three in the afternoon.

From Faulhorn the course drops for almost 20 km, more than 2,100 m down to Burglauenen, with only short climbs between. The first drop, to Egg, is steep; the biggest descent of the course, into Schwand, is steeper, and nearly four fifths of the work is done there. After Schwand comes the last of the bigger climbs, short and steep, and then two steep drops, the second of them into Burglauenen. At the time-limit pace you pass Egg at a quarter to four, Schwand at twenty-five past five and Burglauenen at a quarter to seven.

The last leg from Burglauenen is the flattest of the course: 7 km with 178 m of climbing back to Grindelwald. At the time-limit pace you finish at a quarter past eight in the evening.
